A
thirty seven year veteran of the airline industry, Roger Gibson has held
numerous leadership positions in the fields of Aircraft Maintenance,
Passenger Sales and Operations and most recently Cargo. In Aircraft
Maintenance he led the Inventory Planning, Supply and Distribution,
Aircraft Maintenance Resource Planning and heavy maintenance efforts for
United Airlines in San Francisco,
California.
Roger,
as head of United Airlines Mountain Region he was responsible for the
Sales, Reservations and Airport operations in seventeen states and
Canada.
These responsibilities included the development of Corporate and
Agency sales strategies, as well as the development of marketing,
community and political strategies for the region and the operation of
United Airlines’ second largest hub-
Denver Colorado.
As
leader of United’s World Wide Cargo business unit, he was responsible
for the development and execution of the unit’s business strategy, which
included leading and /or participating in a number of industry
initiatives aimed at improving the collaborative use of new technology.
In this regard Roger was Chairman of Cargo 2000, a co-founders of
Cargo Portal Services and a board member of other industry related
organizations such as CNS, ATA and IATA.
Additionally
Roger serves on the Board of Directors of First American Funds, National
Jewish Hospital and Blue Skies.
He
is the father of three and has three grandchildren all of whom make
their residence in California.
He is a graduate of Saint Mary’s College in Moraga, with a degree
in Management and lives in both Denver, Colorado and Foster City
California.
