PIERRE LAURENT - Co-Founder
Pierre has extensive experience working in companies with new to the world products. As a manager at Intel's Architecture Lab in Oregon, he was responsible for defining and leading Intel's initiative to enable the internet with high quality video and audio. In that capacity he was directly involved in extensive negotiation with major industry players.
Prior to his position at Intel, Pierre worked for Microsoft for seven years where he led several positions in marketing and development. He joined Microsoft in 1987 when the company was still in its infancy (1000 employees) and participated in the many start-up activities inside Microsoft.
At Microsoft and Intel, Pierre was interviewed by the press and has been a popular speaker at many conferences and events.
Since leaving Microsoft, Pierre assisted the early development stages of several startup companies in the San Francisco bay area spanning markets as diverse as video distribution, wireless phones and Biotechnology.
Pierre holds a MBA from Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. He also holds a Master Degree in Computer Science from Institut Polytechnique, Toulouse France.
